Hallmark Channel is ringing in the New Year with FIVE destination movies that will help you beat the winter blues, if you're the type of person who laments that January is the longest month of the year.
If you love the cold, snow, and coziness like me, you can still wrap up in a blanket and sip hot cocoa while vicariously joining your favorite Hallmark personalities for adventures in warmer climates!

Hallmark Channel Winter Escape 2026 Movies
All new Winter Escape 2026 movies premiere on Hallmark Channel at 8pm Eastern every Saturday in January and then on Hallmark+ the next day.
Lost in Paradise-January 3
Lacey Chabert and Ian Harding star in this movie about a founder of a high-end fashion company getting marooned on an "deserted" island with a chef. Romance blossoms as they work together to survive.

This movie was filmed in Fiji, and legendary costume designer, Keith Nielson, is rumored to be the genius behind all of the great looks in the film.
A Melbourne Match-January 10
Starring Mallory Jansen and Ryan Corr, the plot follows Georgie, a travel writer, who travels to Melbourne for an assignment where she meets Zach, an Australian ex-footballer who agrees to be her tour guide and shows her that there's more to life than work.
Jansen is deeply invested in this movie. Not only was it filmed in her hometown of Melbourne with her in the lead role, but she wrote and executive produced it!

Jansen shared on Instagram, "Two years ago, I had an idea to write a rom-com set in my hometown of Melbourne. Hallmark put their trust in me. I jumped on as actor, writer, and executive producer. And now here we are, officially wrapped.
I'm so unbelievably grateful to everyone who helped bring my script to life. Our incredible Melbourne cast and crew who poured their hearts into this. Laura Gaines and Casey Larson who believed in the project from the start. Steve Jaggi, Kylie Pascoe and Sophie Tilson for bringing it all together. Our wonderful director, Colin Budds and ridiculously talented leading man, Ryan Corr."
Love on the Amazon-January 17
Gabby travels to the Amazon to reach her sister, a researcher, and meets a rugged riverboat Captain named Ryder.
The movie stars Jaicy Elliott and Rafael de la Fuente.

Talk about a mismatch. This role will require some serious acting skills from de la Fuente. If he can convince the audience that he's romantically attracted to Elliot, it will be a feat.

Caught by Love-January 24
Rachael Leigh Cook and Luke Macfarlane headline this movie, and the plot sounds fun:
While on a journey of self-discovery, a resort guest gets swept into an undercover investigation for stolen jewels that turns into an unexpected and adventurous romance.

Missing the Boat-January 31
Emilie Ullerup and Kristoffer Polaha star in this movie about two strangers, Kelly and Parker, who both end up on the same Italian cruise, but after missing the boat during a stop, they're forced to team up and race across southern Italy to catch up.

Ullerup posted this photo on Instagram and jokingly wrote, "And it's a very serious movie."
Looks like a lot of fun was had during the making! In fact, Ullerup called it, "one of my favorite experiences to date."
When Calls the Heart Season 13 Premieres
In addition to the five Winter Escape 2026 movies coming to Hallmark Channel in January, Season 13 of When Calls the Heart kicks off January 4.

Hallmark has not yet announced whether or not we can expect new cozy mysteries for January from Hallmark Mystery, but if news breaks about added programming, this post will be updated!

Jaicy Elliot is an excellent actress, all her Hallmark movies are remarkable. “Romance in Style” did an excellent job showing that women with larger body types are just as good models and fashion icons as the typical models who unfairly stereotype women as thin. “My Southern Family Xmas” has a beautiful storyline, and the one she filmed in France is also very beautiful. With all due respect, I don't understand the connotation of your comment. She is a beautiful woman, and I can't find a reasonable explanation for your comment, “If he can convince the audience that he's romantically attracted to Elliot, it will be a feat,” beyond that it is disrespectful and sexist.😑
I love this show cant wait !👍🥰
