Hallmark has dubbed the Month of May as Countdown to Summer 2024. Even though May is still technically Spring, we could all use some warm summer vibes! As we gradually transition between seasons, Hallmark has five premieres for us to enjoy: three brand new movies, and two that are premiering on Hallmark Channel for the first time.

This is NOT a new movie! It originally aired on Hallmark Mystery in 2023, but it's the first time that it will appear on Hallmark Channel, which is why the network labels it a "premiere."
A Whitewater Romance

Starring: Benjamin Hollingsworth and Cindy Busby

Family Practice Mysteries: Coming Home
Premieres: Friday, May 17 at 9/8c HALLMARK MYSTERY
Starring: Amanda Schull and Brendan Penny
Synopsis:
A former Army surgeon moves back to her hometown and joins a practice of family doctors, but when she's drawn into solving the mysterious death of a patient, her quiet life becomes upended.
Everything Puppies
Premieres: Saturday, May 18 at 8/7c on HALLMARK CHANNEL

Tara, now settled in Montana and dating Cowboy Boone, works to bring their family lives together but tensions arise, as blending their families will be more of a challenge than anticipated.
This movie also isn't new. It originally premiered on Hallmark Mystery in 2023, but this is the first time for it to air on Hallmark Channel.
RomCom Review's Thoughts on Hallmark's May 2024 Movies
I appreciate that Hallmark writers are trying to branch out into new directions, including a movie about whitewater rafting. It is literally "new waters" for Hallmark! Viewers love Benjamin Hollingsworth, but many of us feel we've overdosed on Cindy Busby.
Amanda Schull and Brendan Penny look like a promising pairing for the new medical mystery. Hallmark Mystery could really use a new mystery series, but we'll have to see how fans react to this one.
I'm not a Huszar fan, but any Hallmark movie with dogs is nearly always a hit with viewers.
Still, it looks like there's something for everyone!
