Great American Family fans have been waiting patiently for the next Ainsley McGregor mystery movie installment, as the network slowly builds a cozy mystery franchise that will rival Hallmark Mystery.
Ainsley McGregor Mysteries: A Case for the Winemaker premiered on Great American Pure Flix in July 2024 and later crossed to Great American Family in October 2024.
In a similar pattern, Ainsley McGregor Mysteries: A Case for the Yarn Maker will appear first on the streaming service. No date has yet been announced for its debut on the linear cable channel.
The movie will again star Candace Cameron Bure and Aaron Ashmore.
What Is Ainsley McGregor Mysteries: A Case for the Yarn Maker About?
Ainsley McGregor (Bure) a former Chicago criminologist, has moved back to her hometown of Sweet River, Texas, to teach criminology at the local university while also being the owner/operator of Bless Your Arts, a shop for community artists.
Bless Your Arts is honoring a true Yarn Goddess, heiress of Real Wool, Ellie Mitchum who arrives with a cold demeanor before turning up cold, as in dead. At stake in the mystery is the future of Ellie’s Fortune 500 company and her feuding family angling for control.
As always, Ainsley relies on her brother, Sheriff Ryan, her boyfriend, fireman Jake (Ashmore), and the eccentric band of sleuths who masquerade as a Book Club to solve the crime.
Whatever the mystery, Ainsley McGregor is always on the case.

There are five novels in the Ainsley McGregor cozy mystery series penned by author Candace Havens. A Case for the Yarn Maker was released in 2020 and is Book 2 in the series.

A Third Ainsley McGregor Mystery Movie--A Case for the Watchmaker--Has Already Been Ordered
A third installment of the Ainsley McGregor Mystery series is in the works at Great American Family, and filming had been set for February 2025. No word when fans can expect to see it hit our screens.
The Case for the Watchmaker will center on the story of a local woman’s husband who has seemingly been killed over his family’s valuable watch.

True FLIX has actors with integrity and faith, like Candace Cameron Bure. Then explain to me how they have a felon who isdishonest, greedy,and a liar like Lori Louchlin involved with their productions? It is shameful and spoils the wholesomeness of Pure Flix. I refuse to watch her. I cancelled Hallmark because of her; I may have to cancel Pur Flix too. Too bad and sad; guess it’s not what you are but who you know.
